I've finished THE PICKUP and this book ABSOLUTELY CONSUMED me!!! It's off-the-charts HOT but it's also bone-deep romantic! Oh how Nikki Ash pulled off a balance of sweet storybook love and sexy imperfect love was so addictingly good!!!
From beginning to end THE PICKUP oozed swoon and passion. Five stars just doesn't cut it...this was the touchdown of all touchdowns!!! I went ALL CRAZY over the epilogue...you don't want to miss it!!! One-click it!!!
We meet Nick, a junior studying English Literature at UNC. He goes to set up a writing lab tutoring session only to find out his whole major and schedule had been changed. He's dating a girl named Samantha whom he found is cheating on him with his friend, Jesse. Nick's dad changed his schedule because he could make the football draft as a junior for the first time.

This was my first book by Miss Ash but certainly not my last. I’ve never laughed or cried
so much with this book. I loved all the characters especially Nick and Liv. I can’t wait for April when Going Deep is released.
Liv & Nick's story didn't start out as I expected from the blurb, and I had a hard time getting into to the story. The first half has some story line aspects that I don't really enjoy. So, I wasn't sure if it could recover for me.

However, once those issues were resolved, I did end up really liking the last half of the book! Nick & Liv have some things to figure out & the way they do so was very sweet & had the right amount of steam. I enjoyed them, and the supporting characters & their story lines throughout that last half!! I also think the next book is going to be very interesting! )
Tired of being controlled, but never loved by, his parents all of his life, when Nick Shaw suffers a potentially career ending injury, is finally fed up with being nothing but dollar signs and fame to them, and acknowledges everyone in his life for what they are. When it comes time to make some decisions about his future, he takes off to visit his college teammate and friend and starts to make choices for what best for himself and his life.

Olivia Harper has always known love, the love between her parents, then the love between her father and step-mother. She knows that’s the kind of love she wants for her life. One impulsive night, puts her on a course with Nick that has them speeding fast and out of control into love.

As usual, Nikki pulls you into the story immediately. No slow burn, and I loved it. I loved every word in the story of Nick Shaw and Olivia Harper. She gave us drama, heat, and romance. The Pickup is a journey of loss, love, and living life on one’s own terms, while opening yourself up to love.

Every new release from Nikki Ash has me finding my new favorite couple, and The Pickup is nothing different. Nick and Liv are definitely my new favorite couple, I couldn’t stop reading and at the end I wanted more. Thank you Nikki Ash, for another amazing read.
Most would say Nick Shaw lives a charmed life – professional football player with all the fame, fortune and women a guy could ask for. When a one-night stand comes back into his life after ghosting him the morning after, all that changes. Then there are the issues with his parents, who seem to be in his corner and have given him everything money can buy. Sadly, we all know money can’t buy love.

I really liked Nick and Olivia, but they both had their issues and needed to learn a few things, which made them all the more authentic and likeable. Nick learns some great lessons about the things in life that really matter, and Olivia has her eyes opened and sees beyond the fairy-tale-colored glasses she's worn her whole life. I loved all the secondary characters and thought they added life and color to the story.

This one didn’t have the flow and polish, or hit me deep in the heart, as other books from this author have. But after Unbroken Promises, followed by Heath, it's entirely possible my expectations have exponentially increased with both of those phenomenal books. Still, this was a fun read that had me connecting with the characters, and I’m really looking forward to reading Killian and Giselle's book when it comes out.

Totally addictive and swoony, worthy of over a five star rating! The Pickup not only has amazing main characters with great chemistry, but their supporting characters will easily keep you hooked and wanting to know them more. I could not put this book down. Nikki truly spoils her readers time and time again, and this book was no different. I FLOVED Olivia and Nick! The hotness factor with these two was off the charts. And the heart melting level was right along with it. I loved watching these character's growth through their story, personally and together. Everyone wants a fairytale type of love, and Nick and Olivia show that it takes hard work and courage to achieve that HEA in their own way. Starting with a one night hookup that leads to way more than either of them bargained for. Stock up the munchies and enjoy the ride along with them in The Pickup by Nikki Ash.

An amazing start with book 1 in her new Imperfect Love series. A complete standalone with its own HEA, told in Dual POV. Definitely a must read that will leave you wanting more. I cant wait for more from these hot football players and their friends! Plus the amazing eye candy with their yummy covers ♡
